Member Spotlight

Jael Jones joined ULI Pittsburgh in March 2017 and currently serves as Director of Market Research at the Pittsburgh Regional Alliance (PRA), an affiliate of the Allegheny Conference on Community Development (ACCD). Overseeing and managing the PRA real estate and GIS database, Jael actively maintains relationships with key stakeholders and partners with real estate, site selection, and development communities. She is responsible for keeping a real-time perspective on the available commercial real estate inventory within the ten county southwestern Pennsylvania region. She provides key market intelligence to the businesses that are looking to locate or expand in this region. In 2016, Jael earned her real estate license through the Realtor’s Association of Metro Pittsburgh, and is currently expanding her skills to include ESRI ArcGIS mapping and data visualization.

Jael was well prepared for the ACCD roles based on prior experience in Entrepreneurship, Customer Service, Inside Sales and Research positions at other regional businesses and nonprofit organizations. She joined the PRA in 2002, playing a critical role in strategic marketing, business investment recruitment, and market intelligence for the ten county southwestern Pennsylvania region. Over this time, Jael has held multiple key economic development and marketing roles including Business Information Specialist, and Director, Global Trade. She also engaged in international foreign direct investment research, overseas prospect development, developed market entry strategies, developed and executed market-strategy forums and other trade development programs to increase the global competitiveness of southwestern Pennsylvania.

Jael represents the ACCD as a member of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties, Pittsburgh (NAIOP), Urban Land Institute (ULI) Pittsburgh, Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI), Council for Community and Economic Research (C2ER), International Economic Development Council (IEDC), and other organizations engaged in regional marketing and economic development.
