November 17, 2020
On November 13th, the ULI East Central Regional Product Council hosted their first all virtual fall meeting. The East Central RPC comprised of 8 District Councils; Cleveland, Cincinnati, Indiana, Pittsburgh, Columbus; with recently added Michigan, Kentucky-Louisville, and Western New York- Buffalo.
The East Central RPC focuses on Public/Private Partnerships in Mixed-Use Development.
The RPC meets typically for one day, twice per year, cycling through all RPC cities. Since the pandemic, the RPC did not want to miss the opportunity to engage with members and potential members. The leadership put together a virtual fall meeting to inform members and non-members about the RPC and give them a virtual taste of the meeting experience.
The day began at 12:30 PM with a welcome and overview of the RPC by Paul Beegan, Beegan Architecture-Cleveland. A presentation was shown with pictures from past meetings and tours. The program then continued to panel discussions. Topics included: What is going on in the world of real estate- what are the successes and struggles, and how are we using innovation to create success and overcome challenges.
Panelists included real estate professionals from Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati, Detroit, Indiana, and Pittsburgh.
Following the panels, Jeanette Pearce, The City Institute-Detroit, gave attendees an exclusive virtual tour of Detroit. This video will soon be upon ULI Pittsburgh’s YouTube Channel.
Lastly, attendees joined in on a Happy-Half Hour with moderated breakout rooms to get in a networking opportunity.
