Mr. Fowler has been the Senior Vice President for Finance and Administration at Chatham University since January 2004. In this position, he has responsibility for finance, accounting, human resources, student accounts, facilities, safety, IT, food service, campus sustainability and the University bookstore. He has also taught a number of courses in forensic accounting and not-for-profit accounting in Chatham’s Master of Accountancy program. Prior to Chatham, Mr. Fowler spent 25 years in the steel industry beginning in 1979 at Armco Inc. in Ambridge, PA and ending in 2003 as CEO of Carbide/Graphite Group, a public company supplying graphite electrodes to steel manufacturing firms. Mr. Fowler also worked from 1977-1979 at Haskins and Sells (now Deloitte), a public accounting firm, where he earned a CPA. He is a 1976 graduate of Washington and Jefferson College (summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa honors) and holds an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh (1977). Mr. Fowler also currently serves on the Board of Brothers’ Brother Foundation Finance Committee Chair (past Chairman and Investment Committee Chair). Previously Mr. Fowler has served in various Board capacities at the McGuire Memorial Hospital Foundation, Northside Common Ministries homeless shelter, and East End Cooperative Ministries homeless shelter.

Kate Tunney joined Rothschild Doyno Collaborative in 2002 and in 2012 was welcomed by the firm as partner. Kate leads the firm's efforts in urban design and planning with the purpose of creating meaningful design solutions. As Director of Communication, Kate is passionate about building even stronger links between design, placemaking, and the emergent meaning in each project. Kate led the work on the Almono Master Plan that re-zoned the 178-acre property and resulted in the 1.4 mile long signature boulevard and the largest TIF in our region. Kate leads the planning and design team for the Institutional Master Plan for Chatham University as they seek to activate the campus core. Kate has been a guest speaker at the American Planning Association's National Convention, sharing her experience in fostering meaning through community engagement. She currently serves on the City of Pittsburgh Contextual Design Advisory Panel sharing design considerations for projects in development throughout the city. Kate is on the boards of the Strip District Neighbors and the Industrial Arts Workshop, a non-profit that works with youth to develop skills through the creation of public artwork. Kate received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Environmental Design from the Parsons School of Design, a division of New School University. Kate is a certified planner, an associate of the American Institute of Architects, and a LEED-accredited professional.

Dusty Elias Kirk Work History Dusty is the Practice Group Leader of Reed Smith’s global Real Estate Group. Dusty's work in real estate development includes handling the acquisition, financing and tax increment financing for commercial, retail, office, industrial and institutional properties, and obtaining economic incentives for development projects. She regularly handles issues involving public-private partnerships, and transportation issues including highway occupancy permits. Dusty is an acknowledged authority on urban mixed use development, demonstrated by landmark efforts to redevelop large parcels in Pittsburgh and Allentown, Pennsylvania. These urban infill efforts took place in highly politically charged environments. Her work on negotiations with neighborhood groups, owners and developers will allow new development valued at over $650 Million. She represents real estate developers, property owners and nonprofit institutions in real estate assessment appeals of industrial, commercial, office, retail and exempt properties in issues regarding valuation of real estate, tax-exempt status, taxation of mineral rights, and tax abatements for newly constructed and reconstructed properties. Dusty counsels her clients on an array of sustainability issues that impact development projects and facilities, including advice on sustainable development matters such as the U.S. Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) rating system, and regulatory compliance matters such as greenhouse gas emission regulations, obtaining other regulatory approvals, negotiating complex contractual arrangements, resolving disputes, and managing risk avoidance. Bob Reppe is the Senior Director of Planning and Design at Carnegie Mellon University for Campus Design and Facility Development. In that role, he directs all campus planning initiatives, including the University’s 2022 Institutional Master Plan as well as the 2017 Housing Master Plan and 2018 Parking Master Plan. He also coordinates capital construction projects and manages the predevelopment, design and permitting process for major campus facilities, including the Tepper Quad, TCS Hall and ANSYS Hall. Bob oversees the development of facilities at the university’s global sites, including Silicon Valley and Rwanda. In addition to reporting to the Property and Facilities Committee, he also staffs the university’s Design Review Committee, Public Art Committee and Universal Access Committee. Prior to joining Carnegie Mellon, he served as the Zoning Administrator for the Pittsburgh Department of City Planning and managed the Development and Historic Preservation review. Bob received his Master’s in Urban Design from the University of Texas and Bachelors of Arts in Urban Planning from the University of Minnesota.

Owen Cooks is the Assistant Vice Chancellor, Planning, Design & Real Estate for the University of Pittsburgh. Owen holds an undergraduate degree in Interior Design and a Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration with a Business & Finance specialization, both from Purdue University. Owen’s career has been managing planning, design & construction operations in higher education at Purdue and in North Carolina. Owen is a Certified Educational Facilities Professional of the Association of Higher Education Facilities Officers and a member of the Board of Trustees of Lincoln University.
