The Urban Land Institute in Pittsburgh is pleased to announce our 6th Annual Placemaking Awards for Excellence Honoring Point Park University: The Academic Village and Pittsburgh Playhouse. This fall awards event is our annual opportunity to formally recognize outstanding projects, achievements and leaders in our city who are committed to the creation and celebration of “place.” Join over 200 commercial real estate professionals attending this signature event with ULI Pittsburgh, as we convene thought leaders from a wide array of disciplines who passionately promote the responsible use of land.

2018 Placemaking Awards – Call for Submissions

By definition, Placemaking embraces the creation of spaces that promote people’s health, happiness, and well being through planning, design and management. Please use the form below to submit your nomination online. Submissions are required by 5pm on August 17, 2018 for juried review. Award winners be announced at the 6th Annual Placemaking Awards for Excellence event on September 27, 2018.

Juried awards will be presented for excellence in: Catalytic Place | Transformative Place | Community Place | Healthy Place | Visionary Place. For complete descriptions of award categories, as well as guidance for the nomination process, please view our Categories & Key Principles.  Note: while submissions may be generated from any component of the development team, it is important that the Project Owner is made aware of the nomination and would ideally attend the Awards Luncheon should the project be chosen.
