On January 24th, ULI Pittsburgh welcomed Chuck DiRocco, PwC LLP, and Kacey Cordes, US Bancorp to Pittsburgh for our annual ULI Emerging Trends meeting. Chuck reviewed the report’s highlights, which quickly developed into a spirited panel discussion on Pittsburgh’s housing needs. Tom Murphy, ULI Senior Fellow and former Pittsburgh Mayor moderated a panel with Kacey Cordes and Jeremy Waldrup, CEO of Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership.

The panel discussed challenges in Pittsburgh and other cities around the country to close the gap between the need for affordable housing and the oversupply of commercial office buildings. The significant engagement from the audience further demonstrated the issues and opportunities that exist in Pittsburgh to close this gap in market opportunity.
