    Mamadou Balde

    Managing Director and Market Leader, Pittsburgh & West Virginia, CBRE Pittsburgh

    Mamadou Baldé is the Market Leader and Managing Director for CBRE’s Pittsburgh, PA, and West Virginia operations. In this role, he is responsible for real estate sales and support professionals throughout Pittsburgh, PA, and Charleston, WV. He serves as the strategic manager for all Advisory Services lines of business, including Property Management, Advisory & Transaction Services, Capital Markets, Occupier Outsourcing, Project Management, and Valuation & Advisory Services. Mr. Baldé oversees business operations and manages client relations, new business development, and related services for the market. He drives growth within the Pittsburgh office for teams, clients, and individual professionals through leadership that embodies CBRE’s core values and sustains a positive workplace culture. Before joining CBRE in 2021, Mr. Baldé was President of Fulani Millwork, Inc. and was a Developer-In-Residence with ACTION-Housing. He also brings Office Brokerage experience from his time as Vice President and In-House Counsel at the Pittsburgh office of an International Commercial Real Estate Services Company. Before that, Mr. Baldé practiced law at a Pittsburgh regional law firm. Mr. Baldé is a graduate of Liberty University School of Law where he earned his Juris Doctorate and his Bachelor of Science in Finance.

    Matthew Galluzzo

    President and CEO, Riverlife

    Matthew Galluzzo has dedicated his career to serving Pittsburgh and its neighborhoods. In September 2019 he became the President and CEO of Riverlife. He leads a transformative agenda to create, activate, and celebrate Pittsburgh's riverfronts. Under his leadership, Riverlife has emerged as the indispensable leader in curating the riverfront experience and has achieved numerous milestones, including: • Developing the "Completing the Loop" framework, a 21st-century and community-driven vision for Pittsburgh. This transformative plan has earned national recognition from the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the American Planning Association (APA) for its innovative approach to urban design and planning. • Successfully led a statewide initiative to increase the cap on the PA Waterfront Development Tax Credit to $5 Million. • Garnering over $20 Million in public and philanthropic investment to support the repositioning of key riverfront parks and organizational initiatives. • Developing a comprehensive campaign to secure resources and support for "Completing the Loop" of Pittsburgh’s riverfront parks and trails within ten years. • Planning and implementing the first permanent care and maintenance fund to ensure a continuous, cohesive, world-class riverfront experience. • Quadrupling Riverlife's staff capacity to execute the organization’s ambitious plans. Before joining Riverlife, Matthew served as the executive director of Lawrenceville Corporation for nine years, where he facilitated over $200 million in public and private investments. He oversaw several catalytic neighborhood planning processes, including the creation and implementation of the first community land trust in Western Pennsylvania, the development of the Upper Lawrenceville Plan, and the facilitation of the Allegheny Green Boulevard Plan. Matthew has also served on several boards, including the Radiant Hall Board of Directors (Chair), the URA’s New Market Tax Credit Advisory Board, and the Owen Galluzzo Memorial Fund. He holds a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Pittsburgh’s Graduate School for Community Organization and Social Administration and a Bachelor’s degree from Thomas More College.     Anne Chen

    District Design, Sustainability and Urban Planning Consultant, The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust

    Anne Chen, AIA, LEED AP has over 20 years of experience designing and facilitating the completion of buildings and spaces for mission-based organizations and institutions. She is the Founder of BLD:ac, a Capital Projects Consultancy/ Owner’s Representation service focused on helping organizations and businesses design and manage capital projects to enhance impact. She is currently engaged with the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust as District Design, Sustainability, and Urban Planning Consultant. In her role as a Principal with EDGE studio and GBBN Architects, Anne developed a reputation for strategic thinking and transformative planning and design. She is committed to the philosophy that physical environments shape expectations and behavior. Thoughtful public space, developed with the input of the community is critical to advancing a more equitable, sustainable, and creative future. Anne serves on the Board of AIA Pennsylvania and the Advisory Boards of the Carnegie Museum of Art and the Stuckeman School at Penn State University. She also reviews proposed urban development as a member of the Contextual Design Advisory Panel for the City of Pittsburgh as a respected planning and design expert and will teach a studio at Carnegie Mellon University this fall. Anne received her Masters in Architecture from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from Princeton University. She holds a certificate in Real Estate Investing and Development from the Jones School of Business at Rice University.

    Aaron Sukenik

    Vice President, District Development, Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership

    As Vice President of District Development, Aaron is responsible for the mobility and infrastructure, economic development, and placemaking work of the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership (PDP). This work includes advancing investments, policies, programs, and projects that improve the quality of life and enhance economic activity in Downtown Pittsburgh. Before joining the PDP, Aaron spent 10 years as Executive Director of the Hilltop Alliance in south Pittsburgh, where he led work in the areas of business district management and small business assistance, placemaking, and open space development (including the Hilltop Urban Farm), residential property stabilization and home repairs, and vacant property recycling and redevelopment (including affordable housing). He also spent several years before that in other local government and community development leadership positions, including as a Township Manager and Business District Manager. His community development projects and programs have been locally, regionally, and nationally recognized through media and various awards. Aaron received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Pittsburgh. Though originally from Washington DC, Aaron has lived in Pittsburgh since the dawn of the 21st Century.
