For ultimately, our true passion is people, it is making a better and more beautiful world for all. This is my ULI.

The bi-lingual daughter of Greek immigrants, Georgia Petropoulos is a people-focused leader delivering transformational community change and impact.
She is enthusiastic about creating compassionate, accessible, and inclusive environments, encouraging innovative ideas and creative problem-solving, as well as language, culture, and design. As CEO of the Oakland Business Improvement District, Ms. Petropoulos bridges the voices of Oakland’s various diverse sectors including government, business, real estate, ed’s and med’s, arts, and culture, and leads a dynamic organization responsible for designing and executing innovative place management and economic development initiatives in support of Pennsylvania’s third largest economic center.
Ms. Petropoulos serves on various boards and committees including the Presbyterian University Hospital/Shadyside Board of Directors and Quality Patient Care Committee, the City of Pittsburgh and Allegheny County Task Force on Disabilities, and the Oakland Transportation Management Association.
She completed executive training at the Center for Creative Leadership in San Diego, California, and is a graduate of Leadership Pittsburgh. Ms. Petropoulos earned a Bachelor of Arts in Architectural Studies/ French Language and Literature from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master of Architecture from Washington University.
