On January 18th, ULI Pittsburgh’s Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI) hosted a 10th Anniversary Celebration for WLI nationally at Emerald City in Downtown Pittsburgh. Following the signature series “A Conversation With” with Kelly Noel, Vice President of Construction, Real Estate & Facilities at UPMC. An intimate conversation revealed how Kelly’s path into engineering and construction began early in her childhood and highlighted the lessons learned along the way to her current executive leadership role at UPMC, which covers thousands of ongoing projects. Additionally, Kelly offered insightful local, regional, and global outlooks on healthcare and life science real estate. Kelly is a dynamic leader new(er) to Pittsburgh, and the audience of 70+ was delighted to get to know her more personally. 

WLI Pittsburgh’s Founders and Chairs (past and present) were also honored for their service and dedication to WLI’s national mission to promote the advancement and visibility of women in real estate. Khamil Bailey, Executive Director of The Greenwood Plan and the force behind the establishment and development of our amazing venue, Emerald City, shared details of their mission: To prioritize Black entrepreneurship and black professionals in Pittsburgh through resources, education, and opportunities.

Emerald City was founded in 2021 and is a 12,000 SF coworking, hospitality, and social space.
