The Urban Land Institute is an independent nonprofit education and research organization that is supported by its members. Established in 1936, the Institute has almost 40,000 members from 92 countries representing the entire spectrum of land use and real estate development disciplines.
The Urban Land Institute has devoted a two-year body of work to its Building Healthy Places Initiative, which will examine how urban design and development can contribute to living environments that are conducive to active lifestyles, social interaction, and prosperity. Through the initiative, ULI is leveraging the power of its global networks to shape projects and places that improve the health of people and communities.
